About Jane

Thank you so much for visiting my website! I hope you enjoy my individual pieces of artwork.

I live in the South West of the UK, I am a self-taught artist and I also received art tutoring from an early age from my dad Bryan Brown (pictured below)  who was a very accomplished artist. My passion for painting grew as I watched him paint and instruct me to see nature through creative eyes, observing colours and shapes of the coastline, sky and countryside. He held exhibitions and sold many pieces of his artwork. I dedicate my website, in memory of my dear dad.

I have created and sold my own artwork for over 25 years. I work mainly in acrylics, but I also enjoy painting in watercolours. 

My inspiration is creation, I love seascapes, landscapes and nature. I enjoy interpreting what I see in creation and translate this through my artwork to share that experience with others. The colours of the sky and sea and countryside inspire me to put my brush on canvas. 

I also love producing commissions for people, capturing a moment in time that means so much to each person. Special memories can be remembered in a piece of artwork, to display and view each day. I have also received commissions from individuals of people’s special pets. Please contact me if you would like a commission from a photograph of your memory.
