Commissions

Artwork can keep the memory alive of that special holiday, or that moment in time that means so much to you, or a much-loved pet. I have also undertaken bespoke commissions tailored to suit a particular room.

I can work from photographs, images or we can talk through various ideas. Artwork can be framed if requested.

Meadow Flowers

“I love Jane’s artwork; my house has become a gallery showing her work. Jane’s paintings depict the peace and calm of life. She was my first thought when choosing to commission a painting for my room. The depth of colours and interpretation of what I visualised exceeded my expectations. I was delighted with the result. The painting is beautiful and we continue to enjoy it every day.”

Sunset

“I could not be more pleased with my Sunset painting. Thank you so much, Jane. It literally brought my whole room to life and unified the soft furnishing colour scheme of navy and mustard. Many of my friends have complimented it, it’s definitely the focal point of the whole room.”

France

“So many memories encapsulated in one remarkable picture. A surprise gift commissioned by a friend; I instantly recognized the sandy path that led from the campsite to the ocean of regular family holidays in The Vendee. The picture depicts the path as it emerges from the shady pine forest to the back dunes before the ocean just over the brow. How Jane captures the light and shade aspects of the scene so faultlessly, demonstrates her obvious talent. In my mind I can feel the sun as we leave the shade, I can hear the waves calling us onto the beach but also, I can see my children racing ahead, dragging their bodyboards through the sand as they run up the smaller path to the left before leaping back onto the path in front of us – happy and carefree. Thank you, Jane, – a present for me and a gift for the whole family.”

Sand Dunes

“I needed a piece of artwork for my newly decorated living room and knew just the person to ask – Jane.
I sent Jane a couple of inspiring pictures to get a feel of what I wanted and the colours I liked. I needed a piece that was calm and clean, because that’s the vibe that I’d created in my living room.
What Jane can do with paint and brushes blows my mind every time and this piece did just that. It definitely gets people talking when they see it on the wall.  I’m trying to find a reason to have her paint another one for me or do I need a reason?!”

Family Dog

This was a commission of a much-loved pet. The client was very pleased with the result.

(Commissions can be taken of pets/animals).

Reflections On Lake Windermere

“An all-time favourite photo was taken in the Lake District during our first holiday away with our family dog. After being a screen saver for several years on my husband’s phone, he couldn’t believe it and was amazed to receive it recreated in acrylics on a canvas – a perfect present for Father’s Day. You totally captured the beauty and the essence of that memory. Thank you Jane”

The Process

1. Discuss The Idea

When you make contact with me, we will first talk about your idea, what size you would like the painting to be and if you have any photos that you would like me to reference. From there you will get a quote for the commission.

2. Painting Creation

This is the longest phase where I will spend time and care painting your commission. Once the painting is completed, I will send over a photo of it to you before posting.

3. Send The Painting

Once the payment has been received for the painting, I will carefully package the painting and post it to you for you to enjoy! It will be framed if you requested it
